PSG Revives Pursuit of €40M Versatile Defender Amid Man Utd, Juventus Interest

The center-back position at Paris Saint-Germain will need to be improved this summer transfer window. Over the last few months, the Parisians have been linked to various central defenders, one of them being Torino FC’s Alessandro Buongiorno.

During the January transfer window, the Italian defender’s name surfaced in the rumor mill and now it’s back in the spotlight. PSG will probably be in the market for at least two center-backs with Milan Skriniar facing an uncertain future

Italian media outlet Tuttosport reports that PSG are among the teams eyeing Buongiorno, who is under contract with the Serie A side until 2028. The Parisians will face competition from various clubs like Napoli, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, and unnamed German clubs.

The report reveals that €40 million could be enough to complete a deal for Torino’s star defender, who can also play left-back. With several big-name clubs vying for the 24-year-old, that price will go up as the Italian side has leverage in negotiations.

PSG are in on various center-backs and with money to spend, it’s safe to say that the depth chart will vastly improve for next season.
